School Education Department, Government of Punjab, in collaboration with UNICEF, AGAHE, and WHH, conducted a one-day training for Education and WASH government counterparts and sector partners on WASH in Schools (WinS) and Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHM) in the flood-affected districts of Punjab.
The session focused on strengthening sector capacity for coordinated post-flood WASH recovery, emphasizing the Punjab WinS Strategy and MHM priorities. AGAHE shared its contributions in advancing MHM and WinS, showcasing the Girl-Friendly Toilet (GFT) Guidebook.
Ms. Hina Chaudhry, Deputy Secretary South Punjab, appreciated the collective efforts of UNICEF, AGAHE, and WHH, and emphasized scaling up the GFT model across Punjab. The event enhanced government and CSO capacities for recovery and promoted collaborative WASH action across key departments, including Health, Social Welfare, School Education, and PHED.
