AGAHE and WHH, in close collaboration with LG&CDD, P&D Department, and PMDFC, officially launched the WASH System Strengthening Program Phase II at an Inception Workshop on 13 November 2025 in Lahore. Ms. Asia Gul, Special Secretary LG&CDD, highlighted key achievements of Phase I—improved coordination, stronger regulatory frameworks, climate-resilient models, and enhanced institutional capacities—while reaffirming government support for Phase II. Representatives from WHH and PMDFC underscored the program’s relevance for future WASH governance in Pakistan.
The workshop marked an important step toward system-wide WASH reforms, bringing together provincial departments, academia, research bodies, and major international and national NGOs—including UNICEF, WaterAid, ACTED, Mercy Corps, FCDO, Muslim Hands, RCDS, Doaba Foundation, and LPP—showcasing collective commitment to strengthening WASH systems nationwide.
