We are proud that Pakistan Chapter led by AGAHE in partnership with WHH recognized as Top 1st Position for best alignment of the Program with Global WASH System Strengthening approaches and Frameworks, local context and government commitments under SDG 6, Significant contribution in system advancement and sector reforms in Pakistan.
The Global WASH System Strengthening Program, led by Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and partners across Pakistan, Zimbabwe, India, and Sierra Leone, is driving systemic reforms and governance for climate resilient and sustainable WASH services for All. After successfully concluding Phase I, the program has officially launched Phase II at the Global Workshop in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The contribution of AGAHE and WHH Pakistan has been highly appreciated to facilitate the government in driving WASH systems strengthening forward, particularly providing technical support for development and launch of first ever Climate Resilient District WASH Master Plan Muzaffargarh (2025-35), Strengthening Coordination Forums at national, provincial & district levels, Developing Monitoring and Regulatory Frameworks, conducting a comprehensive Gap Analysis of Water and Sanitation Policies, Legislations and Acts at federal and Provincial (Punjab) level, Developing Climate Resilient Water & Sanitation Service Delivery Models and Girl-Friendly Toilet Model, Supporting in institutional capacity building around WASH system Strengthening and Climate Resilience etc.
This recognition is a testament to our commitment to SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation for All and our collaborative approach with government and partners. Together, we are building a resilient and sustainable WASH future for Pakistan.
