AGAHE and Welthungerhilfe (WHH), with support of Punjab Rural Municipal Services Company (PRMSC) successfully organized the event on “Promotion of Climate-Resilient and Sustainable WASH Infrastructure Models” event, engaging senior officials and key WASH stakeholders. The innovative Water Filtration Plant (WFP) and Sewage Treatment Unit (STU) models by AGAHE and WHH were praised and emphasized for replication to address infrastructure challenges.
The event focused on raising awareness about WASH sustainability issues, including climate change impacts, operational inefficiencies, tariff collection challenges, and gender disparities. Climate-resilient WASH models with efficient O&M mechanisms were introduced to accelerate progress under SDG 6. Collaboration and knowledge-sharing were encouraged to institutionalize sustainable approaches and create lasting impact.
