AGAHE & WHH have succeeded in revitalizing the Provincial Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) Working Group in Punjab, with enhanced ownership by the School Education Department (SED). Chaired by the Special Secretary of SED, the meeting resulted in significant advancements, including the restructuring of the MHM Working Group to involve more relevant stakeholders, the development of a Punjab MHM Action Plan for the next 2 to 5 years, and the approval and notification of Girl-Friendly Toilets (GFT) for replication across Punjab. Additionally, a Technical Committee under the MHM Working Group has been formed to review and refine educational materials, teacher training content, and IEC materials, ensuring a comprehensive package tailored to the province. These efforts signify a collaborative step towards addressing MHM challenges and achieving sustainable, impactful change.
