Today, AGAHE, with the support of Welthungerhilfe, conducted an insightful training session on Drought Management and Kitchen Gardening in Chak 132 DB, UC Derawar, District Bahawalpur—a region deeply affected by the challenges of the Rohi desert. 25 women participated, learning practical strategies to anticipate and manage drought while discovering the transformative benefits of kitchen gardening. From plot preparation techniques to leveraging homegrown produce during tough times, these women are now equipped to build resilient households in the face of climate challenges. The session was a blend of knowledge-sharing and empowerment, with active engagement and valuable experiences exchanged by all participants. Together, we’re fostering sustainable solutions for a brighter future in the heart of Rohi!
