AGAHE and WHH Successfully Conducted Learning Exchange Visit for District Government Officials to Demonstrate Innovative WASH Models in Muzaffargarh*
AGAHE, in collaboration with Welthungerhilfe (WHH), successfully organized a learning exchange visit for district government officials in Basti Mondka, Muzaffargarh, to showcase innovative WASH models, including a solar-powered RO water filtration plant and a Sewage Treatment Unit.
*Objectives of the Visit:*
-Highlight effective, system-based interventions to improve WASH outcomes.
-Encourage adoption and scaling of these approaches by government and development partners.
-Enable collaboration and capacity building for advancing WASH systems.
*Impact of the Visit:* The visit witnessed strong engagement among key district officials from departments such as PHED, P&D, Local Government, the Municipal Committee, District Health Authority, and District Education Authority. Mr. Qaiser, XEN of PHED Muzaffargarh, noted that these models pave the way for government entities to implement similar, impactful WASH initiatives within their jurisdictions. This engagement highlights the visit’s role in driving cross-departmental support for sustainable WASH innovation and expanding the reach of these proven models within Muzaffargarh and beyond.
