Who We are
Background
Association for Gender Awareness and Human Empowerment (AGAHE) is a non-governmental social Development Organization established in 2007, registered under the Societies Act, 1860 at the Punjab Province level. AGAHE has already signed an MoU with the Economic Affairs Division (EAD) certified by the Pakistan Center for Philanthropy (PCP) since 2010 and registered with the Punjab Charities Commission (PCC) with a valid status of NPO under article 2(36) from FBR.

To create an enabling environment for vulnerable segments of society, where they can utilize their full potential for improvement in their lives and have equal opportunities to safeguard their rights.
Our Mission
To optimize the intangible resources of individuals, organizations, and institutions to achieve maximum efficiency.
Goals
- Social development of marginalized communities through mobilization, group formation, and capacity development.
- Improve participation and representation of marginalized communities in local governance systems, structures, and other policy forums.
- Economic development of poor communities through mobilization group formation,
capacity development, and economic support ensuring basic livelihood. - To develop AGAHE as a sustainable development training/resource center offering
specialized services in MF, CPI, Advocacy, Education, Health, Networking & Linkages, and
other essential social services.
Objectives
- To bring positive behavioral change amongst the community through awareness programs.
- To help children get a better education and play an active role in the social development process.
- To facilitate the community, especially women, to start income generation activities through the provision of micro-credit facilities, training, and market linkages.
- To encourage and facilitate the vulnerable segments of society to participate in the decision-making process.
- To mobilize the community to drink safe water, use sanitary latrines, adopt hygienic behaviors, and keep the environment clean.
- To create linkages amongst community and government departments.
